we have skeletal hands hanging out of letter box

first callers were about 2 yrs old

Blu · 31/10/2008 17:54

We have a washing up bowl full of sweets with one of those hopping bulb-operated spiders hidden in it to make the spider hop when they choose a sweet....

Have to go out in a bit anyway to supervise DS and his friends out menacing innocent people in their homes and begging. Such is halloween these days, tut tut, i don't know what the world's coming to.

I've got nothing so am hoping for a quiet night. Next door's dcs came and admired our lit up pumpkin on the doorstep, but their mum said "Bon Soiree" in quite a firm voice - which I took as a hint not to send mine round begging for bon bons in her costume de sorciere!!

PMSL - classic!

pointygravedogger · 31/10/2008 18:02

pointygravedogger · 31/10/2008 18:02

for over 8s only, I'd say

Blu · 31/10/2008 18:14

Yes - I just restrained myself as I could see it was a v small child - I was very sweet and friendly, and the Mum said 'there you are, that wasn't frightening, was it?', obviously introducing her nervous 3 yo to the whole thing. Little did she know what could have happened...cackle.

I may drop it now - I feel that sitting on the doormat with my laptop for entertainment, in wait to terrify children is not a suitable adult past time for an alledgedly mature adult - and on a parenting website, to boot.
