to be a bit irked about disabled badge holders using mum and baby spaces

I am not sure why I am irked because clearly having a disabled badge means you have a need to park near a supermarket. But when all the mum and child spaces are gone, and I am struggligng with baby and toddler, and see a man with a blue badge RUN from his car in the pouring rain to Sainsburys whilst I can't get a space I have to admit to feeling P*ssed off. Oh and I also dont understand why totally able bodied senior citizens feel they have the right to park in them either.
Rant over.

can i hijack this thread for a minute and ask if disabled badge holders have to pay if on a parking meter space? was at a country park recently and you had to pay £3 to go through the barrier into the car park. however, the disabled spaces were just before the barrier, and were free. is this usual?

it depends on the council, and the particular car park.

Where we live, some car parks are free to people with a blue badge. In others you have to pay.

So for example, the disabled slots in the council offices car park, and the hospital are free, but those in the NCP car parks insist that you pay

We had to pay £9 to pay at the MEN arena with a blue badge for 'Nemo on Ice'

don't have to pay in many car parks. Thats cos we are 'lucky'
