they really wanted to and I dont feel well and I havent got the energy to argue, they have macs and wellies on.

Let them splash about. If they have a warm house to come into to then fine

If they've got macs and wellies on then there's no problem

thats good, I was feeling guilty but they are thaving a great time, I however am not joining them. they are currently sat in a puddle.

Sounds like fun and no one is being harmed.

Hot chocolate all round when they come in, perhaps?

I want to go and splash in the puddles. Might look a bit weird though since I'm an adult and it's not raining here so no puddles

they have just come in, stripped into the washing machine and now have lovely warm clean clothes on. and I feel like a nice mummy for letting them get all mucky.

sounds fab, if you cant do that as a child when can you?

A lovely mummy and much easier removing wet pj's than jeans and jumpers IMO
