To ask my (seperated) H to pick the kids up for one day so I can interview for a job?

DH left me and the kids and we now live seperately.Because he moved us all for his work shortly before he left us I have no friends locally that could help out. I am trying to find a decent job so I can support myself and have asked him for help one day in November so I can go to london to interview for a job I really want, his response was Im not sure if I can do it, so I asked if his PA - a friend or his M&D might help but he doesnt like this idea. He wont help at all with childcare costs as he doesnt see why he should. He sees this as my problem. Its catch 22. I cant afford to hire help until I have a job and cant get a job without help with the kids. I would like to punch him, am I being unreasonable?

If he doesnt help out I will phone his mum and ask her myself, they are so desperate for me to get a job they wont dare say no

No YANBU, as for his comment about childcare costs bit being his problem, I assume he is paying maintenance? If not, I strongly suggest you get some legal advice.

He is paying maintenance for the kids but not for me as I took the house so I need to work

No wonder you separated if he's that helpful. Hope you can make your interview.
