You know...someone is arguing a point, and someone else will come along and say something like "you seem quite upset about this, have you sought any help? I only say this because I care."

Bollocks is it said because they care, it's a transparent attempt to undermine the poster and really very rude.

roseability · 19/10/2008 21:18

Definately guilty of threatening to leave thread and then posting 50 times!

solidgoldskullonastick · 19/10/2008 21:23

Yeah but winding idiots up till their brains leak out of their noses is all part of the fun of the Internet. And once you know that they are screaming at the screen and have shat themselves in outrage, then you can start with the 'Oh dear, you poor thing have you considered therapy or a nice cup of tea? Here's a hanky to dry those tears...'
Works every time.

Pan · 19/10/2008 21:35

so, how do you tell the difference between passive/aggressive and genuine care in the written word, with no past exchange to gauge from??

isn't it just a reaction to a fearful suspicion?? [innocent emocion]

Flightattendant2 · 19/10/2008 21:40

Kerry are you actually making this up? It's very good.

Pan - it's about context.

ScottishMummy · 19/10/2008 21:45
