but I HATE when work men / delivery men rattle the letterbox / bang on the door BEFORE ringing the doorbell - its like they wanna show how impatient they are before they've even waited

god it annoys me - made me not answer today!

Perhaps its because so many doorbells dont work and you are left standing like an idiot after ringing one.

mine works and if they tried that FIRST they would hear it

its not that they dont ring it, they rattle the letterbox first then ring the door bell a second later.
