She has only recently started with us and seemed lovely, the kids adore her but I am seriously concerned about how she is looking after them.
The last straw was today when I came home from a busy days campaigning to find the hosue filled with strange men dancing around and the kids were filthy.
Previously she has taken them horseracing and ds says she let them ride on a horse with no helmet or anything.
DH asked her to explain herself and she refused.

He did ask her to leave yesterday but she is so manipulative that she convinced himto take the children into work with him, he has a very important job in the city. Well, she had convinced the children to give all their money to street beggars and they were so badly behaved in his workplace that he has been called in for a meeting tonight to "discuss" it.

I am at my wits end and obviosuly we will have to sack her but should the police be warned about how she looks after the children in her care?

and isn't see rather good at sorting out the kid's rooms?

MothertoJandM · 11/10/2008 19:52

Am now

Was playing on DD's mobile and found this pic. She has let wild birds into my house!
Hasn't she heard of bird flu?!!

She'll be ripping down your curtains to make them all play clothes next, you mark my words......

cocoleBOO · 11/10/2008 19:54

You should post on style and beauty about her bag. It holds loads.

MothertoJandM · 11/10/2008 19:55

Yes but MB, how woudl you like it if she announced your DS was 'Extremely stubborn and suspicious' and your DD was 'Rather inclined to giggle. Doesn't put things away'

What sort of nanny doesn't understand not to label children like this?

lol you guys

bran · 11/10/2008 19:56

Well I think you only have yourself to blame. You should face up to the fact that campaigning for women's right to vote is just not as important as staying at home and managing your staff effectively so that you DH and DC have a perfect home environment. (Women voting, at the very idea.)

Blandmum · 11/10/2008 20:00

MtoJ and M

Sometimes the truth just hurts. Tough love and all that.

Just stop her before she gets her Goat puppets out.

Ronaldinhio · 11/10/2008 20:00

frankly my dear you must be a troll

exasperatedmummy · 11/10/2008 20:00

YABU - this sorry story has a moral to it. IF you don't like the way another woman looks after your children, do it your bloody self - its all very well getting out there and saving the world on your campaigns and your DH with his "very important job in the city" When you don't know what makes your children laugh, That holding on to your money like ebenezer scrooge is just going to teach your children to be greedy. If i were your DH i would tell his boss to stick his job where the sun doesn't shine and take the children onto the heath tomorrow and fly a kite!

cocoleBOO · 11/10/2008 20:01

Really I don't think you are in a position to complain.

Not until you get the cannon down from your roof, anyway.

Saturn74 · 11/10/2008 20:03

I'd just suck up all the worrying aspects, and thank my lucky stars that she can tidy up so damn quickly.

Ronaldinhio · 11/10/2008 20:05

oh god just read the thread.....soz!
watch out for spoons full of sugar...or at least get her to clean their teeth afterward

MothertoJandM · 11/10/2008 20:06

I don't have a cannon on my roof, that's my neighbour the Admiral, he fires the bloody cannon every hour and announces the time at top volume, as if I can't afford a clock!
I have called environmental health on him anyway as it is noise pollution, plus I think he is a bit dotty...

Whatever you do, if you do get rid of her, Watch Out for that nanny MB is posting about. She seems so demure, with that convent background and all, but your children will be romping in the hills wearing your curtains before you know it. Do NOT leap from the frying pan into the fire.

WouldYouCouldYouWithAGoat · 11/10/2008 20:14

speaking of such things - my nanny has a really cod scottish accent and looks alot like my xh.

cali · 11/10/2008 20:15

If she can teach your dc's to spell SuperCALIfragilisticexpialidocious then I would keep her,

darkpunk · 11/10/2008 20:17

lol..wouldyouwithagoat....now that was a good film..

slayerette · 11/10/2008 20:20

wouldyou - you haven't caught her hoovering to Dude Looks Like a Lady have you?

pardon · 11/10/2008 20:25

Don't hesitate! Report her. She could easily be found guilty of being supercalafragalisticexpealidocious with intent. The bitch.

Elasticwoman · 11/10/2008 20:43

A singing voice that spans 3 octaves is not to be sneezed at.

WouldYouCouldYouWithAGoat · 11/10/2008 20:44

she is really hairy. inexplicably i find myself drawn to her and increasingly aware of how shallow my incredibly handsome rich boyfriend is.
