It's his favourite band and has never seen them, a guy at work has got tickets for all senior management and my EDD is 10th Novemeber. 4th baby, c-section, none have been early and it's an hours drive away.
I'm feeling really happy and thought it would be nice to give him the free pass he needs to go, had he insisted I may have said no.
Will I regret this decision nearer the time and begrudge him his night out and how does one make sure one is not a prize bitch about it.......?????

Well I'd say let him go, but on the proviso that he knows that if you feel really shit, or if you think you might go into labour obviously he shouldn't go. What day is the gig? I'd tell him you want him to go but you're not sure if you'll need him with you - if he doesn't mind changing his plans at the last minute without being narky about it.

He has said he won't go and I think this could be a way of showing him that I really appreciate his hard work. I'm a SAHM and we have three dcs already and he has a very stressful job and is busy decorating every night.... I just want to make sure I don't throw it back in his face!!

What's the date of the concert? And how far away? Will he be driving?

Perhaps, if it's likely you'll go into labour, he could drive there and be ready to leave at any time if needed. Don't know how feasible that it?

Can you get someone to do night duty whilst he is away?
It was DPs work do when I was due with ds2 so he had to promise to come straight home if anything happened and MiL was ready to come round if I called.
An hour isn't too far away really plus you might be grateful of a few hours to yourself.

Maybe bok an antenatal massage or arrange a baby shower?:

I would let him go (as long as you have got someone to call on in an emergency because he will not be able to get out of a concert that easily even if he heard his 'phone go).
If it is a planned c-section, you should be booking the date soon anyway, shouldn't you ?
TBH when I had my 4th and my DH has something like this to go to, I would have let him go (especially if he had been busy and stressed) because it's going to be pretty busy and stressful (maybe) after you've had the baby.

I'm feeling like a nice person again!! I have called him and told him he should go....he's very pleased. I've spent so long moaning and complaining that I feel this is a first step to being normal again!!!
