2 cam to the door today.
I was polite.
they were all chatty and I saw it was an animal one.
I said "I have a disabled dd and raise money for her"

"oh that is wonderful, how good that you are involved with that" says girl.

""a lot of people have said they do that"

" yes well I do" says I

" that is why we only ask for a small ammount" says she

" I am raising money for a trike" says I
(I start shutting door)
still she continues
so I shout "no" and shut door.

ffs wasn't it bloody obvious I was not interested.
so in future I will not be so bloody polite

Was it for the RSPCA?

2 people came to my house last week with RSPCA bibs on. I told them that we sponsor a child in South America and donate to a cancer charity already

They said the same to me! 'that's why we only ask for a small amount'

What annoyed me more than anything was the woman told me her name and her out her hand for a handshake!! I just didn't think that was right.

no it was one of the lesser know ones.
I have just had fun
a bloke came for SCOPE
I took one look at him and said
"we don't give to SCOPE, I have a dd with cp and she used to go to a scope school(i named it) and scope withdrew all their funds, so if it hadn't been for Dame Vera Lyn there would have been no school"

oh his face was a picture.
I just said "you weren't expecting that lol"

Ah SCOPE (and other disability charities) are great ones. I just offer them my children. They tend to walk away rather rapidly, although to be fair one tin shaker did stop and dig out a leaflet explaining how their charity could actually help us (by providing a holiday).
