My DS has just come home from nursery with a birthday party invite for 7pm - 9pm! Isn't this a bit late for a party for 3 year olds?? If the rest of the little guests are anything like my DS they'll be on the ragged edge of tiredness come 7pm, never mind 9pm. But perhaps I'm being a bit of an old fuddy duddy

Yanbu, my 5yr old would have difficulty staying up until 9pm as she goes to bed at 7pm.

Obviously more for the adults than the 3 year old.

I wouldn't even think twice, I would just turn it down. That's just going to be a huge whinge fest, and your child will be tired and irritable the next day too.

i wouldn't go unless your dc isn't hugely affected by the odd late bed time.

my dc can have the odd late night for special occasions without affecting next day. just give a nap in afternoon if required.

We have a ball play one tomorrow from 9-11am, I thought that was a funny time for a ball party with mcdonalds type meal.
