I think sometimes I wish this topic was called 'Just want a rant!' I have just spent the last 6 months compiling one of those cookery books where all the parents send in recipes and you put them together and sell them to raise funds. It was supposed to start as a group of us, but usual story - everyone starts enthusiastic and promises to help, but are always too busy to actually do anything. Anyway, I soldiered through it, as well as working and having the 3 dcs, and finally got it finished yesterday. 100 recipes, all yum, all collated in same font, which involved typing from scratch, put into chapters, indexed etc etc etc and when I took it in today, the manager of the nursery said 'Oh, that's quite nice, maybe I'll buy a copy', and that was it. I'm not asking for a bloody halo, but that was a lot of work, and maybe a 'thank you, that should raise a bit' would be nice.
