People can spend their money on whatever they like. Nobody else's business. £100 is not a lot of money to some people, to others it's a fortune.

However, you really are going to have to stop starting threads about threads before this lot pierce your piles with their pitchforks!

We have a £100 rocking horse. It was joint Christmas present for the DDs many years ago. They all love it still and so do all their friends. Who are all these weirdo kids you know who hate rocking horses? I expect they all have electronic games that cost way more than a rocking horse.

TotalChaos · 29/09/2008 17:11

I got DS's for £20 from a charity shop /smug.

DS has spates of enthusiasm for it, and the local kids love it too, so it's been well worth it.

bloomingfedup · 29/09/2008 17:12

Malory

You could buy the real thing for that amount of money.

waw that is an expensive rocking horse, £3500. I wish i could. We saw a gorgeous rocking horse at an antique fair before ds was born, was all wooded, carved and painted with perfect hair. Was much more than £100.
I dont think £100 is too much tbh, they last years and can be passed on.

iamjigsaw · 29/09/2008 17:25

lol. it can bear an adults weight.
lol. sorry bodybag but you have to admit, that is funny.

My mum splashed out the money my gran left us on a fantastic rocking horse - like one off a carousel. She was going to buy us premium bonds but then we saw this horse in a shop window and it was exactly what she had to spend and she thought, "what the hell". It cost a packet (£150 back in the 70's) and was totally frivolous... and we absolutely loved it.

PoorOldEnid · 29/09/2008 17:42
