I know it's slightly random and a little trivial compared to most threads but I HATE iTUNES!!!!!

I love love love my iPod but itunes drives me insane - it's so over complicated and twatty.

Sorry - rant over!

I love it. Have never had any problems with it.

What is the problem your finding?

MrsEwanMcGregor · 28/09/2008 19:23

Well.....

I can't get my head round transferring the odd song or 2 once you have synced.

I can't work out how to sync a new album I have just brought from the iTunes store and the help topics seem to take forever to load.

Maybe I need to spend some time reading up on it.

Plus my computer is a bit old and slow so that probably doesn't help.

People keep telling me I will like it once I get used to it - please tell me I will!

You just need to find the 'sync' button, sounds like. (Helpful aren't I?)

hardworker · 28/09/2008 19:26

It's a piece of cake believe me

hardworker · 28/09/2008 19:27

Sorry that wasn't much help was it

I always have my itunes open when i want to import cd's and it usually has (on the bottom right side of the itunes box) the option to import, same goes for snc to ipod, it gives the option

Are you sure your ipod is in sync with the computer?

retiredgoth · 28/09/2008 19:38

Trying to put the odd song or two on?
Tick the box on the iTunes iPod screen (the one that appears when you plug it in) that says "enable disc use"...

....then you can just drag and drop the songs directly onto the iPod icon and it will sync.

(geeky mac anorak? Moi??)

I find Itunes quite annoying too, and have made the mistake of downloading an update and this "Genius" thing which takes ages and keeps crashing.

But I use Itunes on manual settings rather than "sync" because it stops it doing things I don't want it to, like cleaning up itunes to match an ipod (we have two in the house and dp often uses his with the laptop plus not everything he likes is to my taste - either he's more tolerant or I have better taste - automatic syncing really wouldn't be a good thing!

My suggestion would be to use the option to show Browser on your Itunes, then you can select artist/album/tracks and just drag them onto the icon for your Ipod. I find it easier than using "sync" options.

retired goth does something similar to what I do, just describes it diffferently.

have you actually downloaded the purchased item?

loves genius
