I have lived at my current address since Jan and only took the place because I was desprate and they didn't want a deposit straight away well least they said they didn't and then after two days of being there they were bugging me for the deposit, Anyways one of the landlords is lovely but the other one is a complete twat who has made threats at me, Also came into the flat when he thought I was not there I was sick in bed. They have ripped me off I live in a shit hole flat they never did anything they promised like clean the pissing carpets and I have had a mouse problem since living there. My friend wants me to put fish everywhere in the house and take everything I can carry when I move out as there was no inventory check and I told them to use my deposit as a my last months rent since I knew it would be hell getting that off them.

Would I be unreasonable if I did take everything and not clean the flat also put the fish everywhere or is it what they deserve

I want to do it but I really wont and yes
SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore my landlords will most likely cause me more troubles so best of moving out and just leaving them to it as it will no longer be my problem once I am gone.

So hatrick have u moved away from London now

Kids things is good but is not good for the older kids my God daughter 7 hurt herself badly in there :-/ But it is great for the smaller kids

Move out and move on, dont listen to your silly friend, bad bad advice, keep your good karma, learn from your mistakes, stay away from dodgy landlords

people, did u not read the original posting? she took the property because "she was desperate"

she may have been homeless, moving away from a violent relationship etc. be a bit more compassionate. yes it is wrong to do the things she is suggesting but people in desperate situations do silly things. a lot of you say she is a nightmare tenant but what has she said to suggest this is so. all she has said is what she would like to do?

it sounds as if most of you may be landlords and if so its not surprising some of the replies that are on here.

I totally understand 2beornot2be.

When you are desperate - or as I have been, looking for a flat with only a month to look before you have to leave your other flat (IYSWIM) you will take practically anything.

You believe your new landlord when they say they will do repairs/ get rid of mice etc. But it seems that for a lot of buy to let landlords, it's all about the bottom line.

Before the TDS I moved out of a flat with no inventory and had to go to court for my deposit. I was 'lucky' and was able to professionally embarrass my ex landlord.

Please just move on. The next tenants might have to put up with your fishy present - remember they have to get someone in asap to pay the mortgage and council tax.

You may still be able to claim against your landlord for not putting your money in a TDS. Look at www.landlordzone.com forum. I found it invailable.

or invaluable

2beornot2be · 26/09/2008 16:31

Thank You MTR I will look into that. Yes I will just move out and leave the flat as it is

I though the fish idea was really funny but then, I am really childish
