I have yer classic lakeland model. But I like the inflatable idea.
Actually I don't like bananas at all, but DCs do.

Heck. I nipped off for a cup of tea and a banana (from my fruit bowl,) and come back and you guys are almost convincing me to buy one (or two)

S'pose They do look quite attractive. Not convinced I've ever seen a banana that bendy though. And... how do you fit them neatly into very orderly and space efficient (cramped) cupboards ? Or do you just leave it in your bag awaiting the banana ?? ?

i leave mine on the shelf and hang all the inflatable ones off the shelf

or you could leave it in dc's bookbag/schoolbag/lunchbag

they honestly arent that big you know

Lol at that link EC 'Fenne is the talk of the playground' - yeah, everyone is saying 'look at pfb Fenne, her parents have more money than sense... lets nick her inflatable fruit holder'.

(Not actually dissing the idea of the fruit guard, just thinking that 'being the talk of the playground not necessarily a good thing!)

Surely your dcs would need a suitcase rather than a lunchbox?

Hello bloss! I was wondering where you'd got to - never thought I'd see you on a thread about banana guards!

sister and ds have their book bags and hang the inflateable fruit pouch off of that

they only have one a day though (at school)

think it would be a bit U to send them in with the whole family...

MIL bought her friend one of these for his 60th, when she told us about she was laughing about it being a rude shape, we were as to whether what she'd bought really was a 'banana protector'

Oh Dragonbutter I see you've already said the same thing

My friend has one of these, she used it when we went mountain biking together, but she put it in the mesh bit on the outside of her bag so that everyone could see it. She got lots of attention from men, asking what it was, she loved it!!

Then guess what I got from her for christmas?!!!

They're fab. I got 2 for £4 or something from Kleeneze. My bananas were always getting bruised in my work bag.

Don't you know bananas are evil? The guards are to contain the banana in case they decide to jump out of your lunchbox and strangle you.

Don't you know anything????

Do not buy one in pink.

DSs have the inflatable apple & banana ones. they're fab. Inflatable ones were also great for carrying round a banana/peach when weaning BabyDragon.

I also have one of the obscene ones in yellow (so at least it vaguely resembles a banana)
