To think mums shouldn't do drop at nursery in their pyjamas?

I know they may have been up all night with a newborn, depressed, etc etc.

But really, I do wonder when I see a flashy subaru 4x4, child immaculately dressed and the mother has an expensive coat on, over pj's. How long does it take to put a pair of jeans on ffs?

I shit you not, I once saw one of the offenders in pj's and heels.

Or is this some high fashion thing I just don't get?

Of course you should get dressed. YAWN. Why don't you do it now and do some washing at the same time.

Surely it doesn't matter if someone isn't all dressed up if they're not going anywhere?
Nothing wrong with sitting around in your PJs in your house.
And Knickers, if I had legs like yours I would walk the dog in pink pj shorts too!

ladylush · 16/09/2008 11:16

Oh for goodness sake I really couldn't care less what people wear on the school run as long as they're covering up their bits and pieces cos I'm pretty liberal but I don't fancy seeing the other mums and dads naked thank you very much. Especially in the morning when I've just had my breakfast.

wotulookinat · 16/09/2008 11:17

Unless the dad's were really fit!

ladylush · 16/09/2008 11:19

Even then. Seriously, I am not a morning person

ForeverOptimistic · 16/09/2008 11:27

If you are wearing those velour lounge suit pyjamas nobody would give you a second look because they just look like tracksuits.

On the other hand if you go out wearing pyjamas with fluffy sheep on, an R-whites style dressing gown and a noddy bed hat of course you are attention seeking because you know that everyone will be looking at you. The woman I saw was dressed just like this (minus the noddy hat) and everyone was doing a double take because it just isn't normal behaviour.

Ds has just started (this week)and I am a little disappointed - not a noddy hat or pair of pyjamas to be seen.

yup. Unreasonable. Who cares what someone else chooses to wear. I wouldn't give a flying fuck if some random woman dropped her kids off and was wearing deely-boppers, a string vest, a tutu and flippers.

Not My Problem.

ForeverOptimistic · 16/09/2008 12:06

I don't belive that you wouldn't pass comment on a deely-boppered flipper wearing woman, would you? I am sure she would at least get a mention round the dinner table that night.

At that unholy hour of the morning, I probably wouldn't even notice if they were all stark naked with purple pubes.

You are right Knickers, I admit a deely-boppered flipper clad woman would be the highlight of my otherwise boring day.

ladylush · 16/09/2008 12:14

Purple pubes I would notice and like I say, too near my breakfast time to be comfortable.
