I think the newer ones rediculas - has little relevance/educational value in terms of what policemen actually do. I think its very random and strange.

I agree that in terms of relevance it's not great, but not sure how well a song about arresting drunken youths pissing in doorways in Balamory town centre of a Friday night would go down with the pre schoolers

I like the new rock version, but I quite liked the original as well. Dd2 likes the rock version because PC Plum sits on the steps of the monument on main street with susie sweet?. This is where we sat to eat our fish suppers from the fish and chip van on the harbour when we were there last month so she's very impressed by that.

my boss is there just now, sent us a post card from tomermory (or whatever its called) and we did a replica chalk drawing of all the houses int he garden and then listened to the balamory cd which inspired my thread.

i have a rather sick mind about the original...maybe thats why i like it
