When DH asks me if i want a cup of tea

To think if DH asks if i want a cup and say yes then he should bloody make it.

Twice today he has ask me, the last being an hour ago and i'm still waiting.

Before everyone jumps saying do it yourself, i do normally but today was dd2 1st birthday and i have done all the catering, waiting on everyone and clearing up from that (18 family members). I have been up since 6.30am with dd1 and i am 14wks pg and knackered tired.

Feel free to ignore as just having moan . I am now going to make my own tea.

Sounds familiar- has happened here today too! But dh was reasonably distracted by other things each time (although I would have been more forgiving if he would at least have put the damn kettle on! )

Get yourself a cuppa, sit down and put your feet up....life is too short

dmo · 07/09/2008 19:58

well my dh aasked if i wanted a brew and brought me wine instead i am now half cooked and its work tomo

btw yes he should make you a brew

WigWamBam · 07/09/2008 19:58

Why don't you just ask him where that cup of tea he promised you is?

boogeek · 07/09/2008 20:00

You didn't miss him saying ...make me one while you are there then? My DH's favourite trick
I'd say oy where's my tea.

MarkStretch · 07/09/2008 20:00

Just do what I do and start dry-throat coughing like you're been in the sahara for the past week.

DH says 'okkaaaaay' and then makes it.

thisisyesterday · 07/09/2008 20:00

lol dp does that all the time.
or he starts making it and then leaves it to stew for so long it's undrinkable.

if he offers he should make, don't do it yourself!

nametaken · 07/09/2008 20:01

YABU - he only asked you if you wanted a cup of tea. He didn't actually say he was gonna make you one

MarkStretch · 07/09/2008 20:03

Or I say 'DH? What comes after 'S' in the alphabet? I can't remember....'

And he says 'T?'

And I say 'Oooh I'd love one, thanks'

And he says 'ookkkkkaaaaaayy'.

Mind you that one has limited shelf life, I normally get to 'DH? What comes after...' and he says 'Make it yourself!'

cupsoftea · 07/09/2008 20:05

Ask him for some cups of tea & then you should get one!

nametaken · 07/09/2008 20:05

Does anyone here actually have real arguments with their partner over who made the last cup of tea, and whose turn it is to make the next one? Or is it just us?

MarkStretch · 07/09/2008 20:07

DH would never ever ever drinks tea if he didn't live with me. He only ever drinks it when I make it for him or I tell ask him to.

I couldn't live without tea.

lizziemun · 07/09/2008 20:12

Right back with my cup of tea.

I have just had this conversation with him

ME 'When does the boat from china docks'

Him 'What'

ME ' You know the one bringing the tea in'

HIM 'Oh yes, can you make it, I'm in the middle of a raid on WOW'. .

I have told him next time, he forgets i will forget to make him dinner (not realy) .

I don't think in the 10 yrs i have been with DH that we have had a proper arguement. We only have silly little arguements [grin}.

Like your question about the boat

mumeeee · 07/09/2008 22:02

YABU. I often ask my DH if he wants a cup of tea then I go and do something and forget all about it.
