I am, I now I am, but I am actually feeling really gutted and need to be told to calm down...........

just been out for a bowen treatment with hangingbelly (which is doing so much good for me, and she is fab {and lovely}), and come home to a surprise gappy tooth DS2.

but I am really upset.

DS1 and DS2 had a fight and DS1 pushed DS2 off the sofa.........knocking his two bottom teeth, one is out fully the other now very wobbly.

problem is, he has not had wobbly teeth at all.....the teeth have not ready to come out, and he and I have been quite looking forward to him getting his first wobbly tooth, and seeing and feeling it getting more wobbly until it finally is so wobbly I pull it out it comes out ready for the non existant tooth fairy.

we have had no build up, we have had this.

I know it is an accident, and I am in no way cross with anyone (DH says the trauma of all the blood was enough of a shock even he did not tell them off for the fighting), but I am really gutted and feel almost like crying, which is completely unreasonable.......

slap me and tell me to get over it please, before I brew on it so much I implode!!!!

Ah well. Nowt you can do now - worse things happen at sea - no need to cry over spilt milk.

sorry you are sad but there really is nothing you can do and he can have the exp next time!!

Ah, bless you. It must have been a shock for everyone.

At least he will have other wobbly teeth in the future...and he'll have something to show off to his friends on Monday!

and breathe..... it will all be fine. These things happen. It's part and parcel of parenting (especially boys....)

ta FAQ....

bowen treatment is a form (vaguely) of massage. very vaguely, but tis hard to explain other than it is helping my accident injuries. and hangingbelly is an MNer

bettyboo.....he will, I know, which is why this is so unreasonable!

not so bad. i knocked out DD1s first tooth by throwing a ball in her face . in my defence she really should have caught it.
bowen is odd but v good. had it on a shoulder injury once. it worked.

oooooh! HangingBelly is a MNEtter!

I thought it was some sort of treatment for your hanging belly and I thought that I have seen a photo of you and doubted very much that you had a hanging belly as you are so slim!!!!

well, I guess it was not me the did it then!!!!. yes, bowen is odd, and invokes very strong reactions on me, but it is helping lots.

I want my treatment.

I am assuming this is the text? My phone is charging upstairs and my stomach is hurting too much to go get it.

Just keep remembering how DS1 looked after his teeth op, and it will seem much better

will try n think like that, but I still sulking.

one thing tho, DH says it is better that I wasn;t there..............there was LOTS of blood.

and there must have been....he does not exaggarate!

ooh, we have a new bunny too, go see my profile, she/he is called twinkle. I had a name thread going in chat yesterday and she was named by smartiejake.

saltire wanted to name it 'wars'!

psycho- not trying to be glib or all 'new agey' here- but do you think you cried becasue of the tooth or becasue of some other issue unaddressed? Sorry to sound like such a wishy washy hippy type! Could you be hormonal? COULD you be displacing some other 'stuff' onto this?

Trouble is, my reason for my post is so seriously non-supportive! Like, 'Come ON, it's just a TOOTH' which doesn't help you at all! But obviously it may NOT be just 'a tooth' to you. If it really IS the tooth issue- there'll be plenty more, if there IS more to it that originally thought- more Bowen! Now!

teslagirl.....there will be deeper issues. I have major tooth issues as I knocked lots of mine out as a child thro accidents and non-accidents (elder cousin tied my feet together and I was then pushed into a wall)....I now actually just have one 'big tooth' at the front as I have a lot of damage from then.

I guess teeth make me twitchy.....

Too late now, but quick tip of the week, blood in the mouth, give a spoonful of sugar, stops instantly (I keep a sachet in my purse and first aid kit.)

Dt2 knocked out 4 front teeth (all top ones) at school a couple of months ago. It made me quite sad at every time I thought about it. As they were milk teeth they will be replaced eventually but even so they weren't meant to come out yet and certainly not all at once. (Plus I had to take her to the dentist for him to remove them properly ).

lol - was thinking how brave you were to admit to your hanging belly!!! (imagining it was something like my wibbly wobbly one!!).

And we are so interested in your treatent we are totally ignoring your pain for the teeth!!! - how easily distracted i we am are!

shoshe, I have used that tip in the past. can;t believe I forgot about it, but then, I wans;t here anyway and DH does not follow tips like that.

flame, yes, t'was a little of the 'last fisrt tooth' issue too!

tootired, DS's are 6 and 8, and are revovered from the shock, altho they are driving me nuts right now.....argh.

Poor things - I can just imagine how scared your ds1 was after that happened (my dd is 9 and is always getting into trouble for being too rough with ds!)

I guess the excitment of the tooth fairy is enough to calm ds2?

you know what? In my wallet is the letter my dd sent the tooth fairy the night before her 5th birthday.....

"Dear Toof fairy, mi mummy punshed mi in the fayce and i swarroed mi toof"

That was her first one out then..........
She slipt on a climbing frame, I ran to grab her BAMMMMMmmmmm right down her throat..........

tootired..........I would like to think that this might have shocked the pair of them into being less rough.........I would be delusional tho if I really figured they might......

DS2 however spent all last evening until gone 10pm moaning about the pain and the other tooth that is very very wobbly. I grant that he might be hurting, but seriously, till 10pm.

hey ho, he has news for circle time this morning, saves him telling them about mummy almost drowning him, instead it is his brother half killing him instead......
