I tell you Victor Meldrew has nothing on Dad!

if the world was perfect he wold have something to moan about.

Don't get me wrong I love him dearly, and he comes to stay once a month, but OMFG!!!!!

If he comments about DGD clothing again 'Well they didn't dress like that in my day'

'No Dad but this is 2008 not 1930, and she is a typical 13 year old.

And Don't talk to me about taking him shopping, he moaned about the price of everything, commented in a LOUD voice about the old ladies talking in the aisles, the lady with a rather generous posterior, till I had to tell him to be quiet and to stop making personal remarks.

God my Mother, would have brained him with a frying pan by now. (Mom died 17 years ago)

But then she would never have let him get this bad.

I have just taken him home (He lives a hour away, and come in and screamed) DH thinks its funny!!!!

Shoshe · 07/09/2008 16:23

Aw Shoshe, yanbu. But I think most dads get to that stage. My dad sits and comments on EVERYTHING on the TV and it makes me want to brain him - things like "750 grand, i wouldn't give you tuppence for that house" (on Location Location..) - I mean, ffs, as if, and if I say anything he's like, what? can't i have an opinion? Aaarrgghh.

Shoshe · 07/09/2008 17:51

Donut EXACTLY, and if I hear 'in my day once more'
or 'the kids have no respect'

or 'kids have it far to easy, if they had lived through the war'

Arrggggggggggggggggggg

When I picked him up this week it was pouring down, by the car was a girl of about 12, jumping in all the puddles. I laughed she was having great fun, (and she said, 'Oh sorry I splashed your car' which had just driven through flooded roads{grin])

Dad ' What she doing that for, shes covered in mud, look at the state of her shoes' grump grump grump

Arrrggggggggggggggggg Cos she is a kid and its fun!!!!!!!!!
