Slogans on kids t-shirts

Am I being unreasonable to be shocked to see a girl of about 11/12 (beginning to show boobs) with a t-shirt that read... 'future porn star'. I can only hope that her parents can't read english (they were tourists).

Oh god how awful. That show on the telly Mary queen of shops, had a guy who had a shop and made his own t-shirts. He actually produced one for kids that said "my dad only wanted a blow job and he ended up with me". Do people really buy things like that. I also hate to see little girls with words like sexy and things on tops. Keep them innocent.

Children are a reflection of their parents. I don't think those girls (or boys) have a job and earn their money to buy such attire.
Hopefully, when they grow up they will spend their money on more tasteful things.
It kind of makes you wonder if a law should be passed that parents should also be subjected to the same dress as their youngsters. Unfortunately, if the parents purchase this then they probably see nothing wrong and it wouldn't affect them. No accounting for taste there.

There was also one that said 'IVF Kid - Daddy Is A Wanker'. I think t-shirts like that are dreadful. I don't even like the stroppy slogans like 'Here comes trouble' and 'That's it, I'm going to Grandma's'. Come to think of it, I don't like writing on clothes.

Someone bought our DD a top with the playboy bunny on it said "Pink to make the boys the wink". Clearly we had issues as it was age 6-9 MONTHS !!!

I'm really not a fan of slogan top but DH came back from USA with one for DS that says 'My Mom rocks' - I let him wear that .

My DSS has a t-shirt that says "100% lazy" on it!
He has a few with quite agressive sounding slogans on them.
Not really my cup of tea...

Ah, the joy of hand-me-downs... dcs have quite a few slogan tops, and I'm not really keen on any of them (although some are less hideous than others).

But I do like the 'B is for Beer' twisted tee that their dad bought them.

I saw one in a menswear shop in Dublin that said "Nice Legs. What time do they open". Normal menswear shop. Not a joke shop. Not a sex shop. So presumably a guy who would wear that would think nothing of buying horrible slogans for any future unfortunate child he may have.

My b and sil gave my 11 year old a t shirt that said "I like shoes, bags, shopping, chocolate and men....as long as they are rich"

They got very upset and thought I was a completely sour faced humourless cow when I said very politely and in private that I thought it was inappropriate and that I wouldn't let her wear it. They were so sure they were right that I started to doubt myself and I started a thread on here for reassurance. Needless to say, I got it. B and SIL still think I was wrong though.

I got a t shirt for me 17 year old, it was subtle but on close inspection I realised it said 'fcuk ewe' (oops.) He likes it and wears it of course!

Hate them, hate them, hate them.

I've even give away all the tops with '100% cute', 'Princess' etc on them. What if someone thought your 100% cute kid was a minger??? . DD (10 mths) has a great retro Blondie t and that's as close to slogan as she is going to get while I'm buying her clothes.

Then again I dont do any labels on clothes, why give the companies free advertising? FCUK, what is with that?

My DD got given a top that says "I have the best daddy in the world". I would not have bought it, but she wears it a lot and she does look cute in it. DS1 wears a hand me down one from his cousin at the mo that says "Adorable 1" on it and he looks mighty handsome if I do say so myself (there's a pic on my profile if you can be bothered to peek).

Do not like rude ones on adults let alone children (not a prude I assure you).

I've just remembered; I made slogan t-shirts for my boys when they were 8 or 9 months old.

They said 'Yes, we are twins'.

I called them 'the supermarket t-shirts'.

my dd bought the 'never mind the bollocks, heres the sex pistols' t shirt when she was 13 i HATED it, she wore it a few times (including to tescos, with me doing the shop, the looks i got make me cringe even now!!)

i finally hid the bloody thing in the wine bottle recycle bag - i truly don't think i'm a prude, i just felt that it would attract the type of attention that she would'nt know how to cope with, and she was 13, how are little girls supposed to respond when challenged/recieve comments.

i also sat next to a young woman at the dentist last week who wore a t shirt proclaiming she was 'queen of the fucking universe'- i just wanted to tell her she actually looked 'thick as the fucking universe' but got called in just as well, she looked dog rough!

Ooh I was just coming back to say I have seen twins with "Thing One" and "Thing Two" on and I like them.

Almostblue, I need some of those. My (b/g) DTs look nothing like each other, are totally different sizes etc. People presume i am a childminder as they work out that DS2 looks about 10 months and DD looks about 5 months .

Just use fabric paint on plain tees!
I also wanted ones with arrows and 'He's the evil/good one' on them... but never got around to it...

I did see one in Tesco that made me laugh. I am constantly telling DS that the world doesn't revolve around him and we spotted one that said "Actually the world does revolve around me" - thankfully they only had it for girls as DS would have wanted it!

I'm turning, I actually love some of the slogans here, 'I predict a riot' and the twin suggestions - great.

It's little girls with slutty comment t-shirt slogans that get on my goat.
