YANBU. Today has felt longer than the rest of the school holidays. I am on my hands and knees struggling to the end. Bedtime's going to be a killer, and I'm contemplating wine to get through it.

2shoes · 02/09/2008 17:33

It was so long I feel like I have aged a lot. do you think I could make dh look after and go to bed. he has just come in from work?

i see no reason why not, and get him to do the DIY whilst he is at it, maybe paint a room or something?

slayerette · 02/09/2008 17:39

Oh God, it has gone on for about six weeks. We have been out, been cycling, watched Narnia (again...), played on cbeebies website, read Horrid Henry stories....and he STILL wants to know what we're doing next [exhausted emoticon]

I was this close to saying, 'I have kept you entertained for EIGHT FECKING WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

slayerette · 02/09/2008 17:41

Have handed him over to DH who has just walked through the door and am now sitting here on MN refusing to move or interact with anyone ever again in RL

MorocconOil · 02/09/2008 17:49

I was just enjoying 5 minutes peace thinking tonight might be easy(ish)when DS2 attacked DS1 for playing with the box for his new shoes.

Wish my DH was home . He's not back til 7pm. I'm on here to keep myself sane.

Today has been the longest day ever!

MorocconOil · 02/09/2008 17:56

Cut you some slack...would you not prefer someone cut you some cake?

MorocconOil · 02/09/2008 18:03

Forget the glass. Here's the bottle.

What kind of cake?

2shoes · 02/09/2008 18:03

would prefer a bit of quiche
dh won't be doing diy as he paints all day at work(and he is in a bad mood)
on top of the longes(very wet) day. dd needs a new trike and it will cost over £1000

and she keeps wanting me to do stuff!!!!

Lemon drizzle?

stleger · 02/09/2008 18:04

I have quiche in the fridge, do you want it warm or cold?

2shoes · 02/09/2008 18:07

cold please. Lemon drizzle would reming me of all the rained that rained on me today

OP posts:
slayerette · 02/09/2008 18:15

I'll have a bit of lemon drizzle unless anyone's got any coffee cake. Haven't had that for ages, what with all the free time I haven't had this summer...

stleger · 02/09/2008 22:32

God, I'd kill for coffee cake. Or chips.
