Sorry, seems to be the flavour of the day today, so couldn't resist.

Just wanted to say "Hi" and make you all with the fact I have just got back from 2 weeks in sunny, sunny France in a lovely house with a fab pool, great food/wine etc and the children (proud mummy moment) were actually total angels in the car there and back (left home at 3.30am reaching house at 6pm, and equally as long back)!

So how is everyone, any gossip etc?

Whereabouts in France? We are off to Loire Valley on Friday and hoping it has sun!

pamelat · 31/08/2008 18:41

Oh how amazing. We go to Jersey next week for our first unsupported (!) family holiday. DD is nearly 8 months and thank goodness hasnt learnt to crawl. Really hoping that it will be semi relaxing.

scorpio1 · 31/08/2008 18:42

Just get lots of wine then it will be relaxing!!

I'm looking forward to the food - i love cheese, foie gras, oh and the patisseries

CoV welcome home.

Did you know that Aitch has had her baby??

ComeOVeneer · 31/08/2008 18:47

WSe stayed here, had a "bread lady" in a little van come down the drive every morning with fresh bread, pain au chocolat, croissants and other patisserie, just popped out in pj's and bought what we needed. House had a barn with a tble tennis table, snooker table, table football, darts etc for when it was raining (or in our case too hot after unch to be in the sun).

YABU

In fact I intend to start a thread about it. I am outraged.

anorak · 31/08/2008 18:48

Holiday sounds great by the way. The house sounds like the one in Ab Fab.

@ ronaldinhio

mother2two · 31/08/2008 20:18

I am very !

I know someone who loved their holiday so much, that they stayed on! They now live in the Vendee.

I am so jealous. I'm hoping they get fed up so that we can do a house swap

Fat chance.

ComeOVeneer · 31/08/2008 21:30

Feeling a tad sad, especially as we have had foul weather today (thunder, lighting and torrential rain)

I find it hard to feel sympathy for you comeoveneer after you had that fab holiday. Some of us have been stuck here with that blardy weather all summer
