i have 3 of my own dcs here plus 4 of their friends. They have been here since 11 this morning and are staying until 5 o clock.

All this is fine, I agreed to it and thought if one kid is coming to play may as well be 4 kids.

Only thing is, i'm now starting to feel rather tired and weary.

Would it be unreasonable of me to go for a nap and leave my dh to deal with all the kids, bearing in mind it was my idea to have them all round in the first place?

Ah. YABU in this instance. I am assuming he didn't get a say in whether all the visiting children came?

You invited 4 more kids around? You're nuts - no wonder you need a lie down.

can't you stick a film on?

YABU.

You have failed to take account of the exponential effects of children

1+1=2

2+1=4 (this is because it is 2 to the power of 2. Normal rules of maths are suspended)

3+1=9

and so on.

I'm glad that you said that. I had also come to the conclusion that children were exponential in their effect, but worried that I was BU.

har har quattro I like that a lot

too late, - i've just had a 90 minute nap and very nice it was too. Strangly enough, I didn't even hear the kids.
