It is a Barclays cheque going into a Barclays accoutn but as it is different sortcodes it still takes 5 working days..

So are they trying to say that they have to send a little gnome to the originating bank to personally fetch the money and deposit it in my bank account?
NO of course not, they just want 5 days interest on my money

Im with Barclays too and thats my only complaint about the bank! I dont keep the cheque in long enough to acrue any interest lol!

And what annoys me more is it was fairly substantial (for me) and they took me aside when I paid it in to interrogate me about what my plans were...do I want to upgrade my account etc etc, and then won't let me have it! raaagh!

(it's a small very unexpected inheritance from my granny and I want to go shopping and spoil myself for the first time in god knows how long, and they are sucking al the fun out of it as I have to wait until next week!)
