in england we would all be better off as we wouldn't need to pay anywhere near as much tax, to support scotland and ireland's finacial dependence.

im sick of the way they bleat on about wanting to be there own country and independent.
and the scotish kids getting uni free, funded by us etc.

what do you think?

Besides, if it weren't for Irish people on here, I wouldn't now have the very, very best of malt loaf recipes.

My malt loaf is loved by my Jock husband and weans.

Did someone say Baltimore?

Ooooo, man! My Shisheido eyelash curler has at last given up the ghost. And they are a 20 quid rip off here!

They also sell Boots stuff there for cheaper than here. How do they manage that?

Eh?

Arrgggghhh.

Hi Expat, this is the same person who started the CS muscle cutting post

pmsl at habbibu what does the OP propose to do with expat Scots now living in England?

expatinscotland · 18/08/2008 20:20

Aye, sherbet, that's why I wished he/she/it would be away back to school soon.

Ach, well, Bree, hope you've got a good raincoat then. They've been sending Scotland lots of rain. Those damn Irish!

Can't get good tea anywhere...Dh moans all the time. That includes nambarrie....Baltimore Cork is a bit smaller than Maryland, to be sure. Very boaty though. The SuperValu in Skibereen is good for selfcatering though.

LongLiveCuckoo · 18/08/2008 20:26

You sound charming, you big English bitch

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 18/08/2008 20:26

StL

Thanks for the tip.

sherbetdipdab · 18/08/2008 20:27

Bluegrey must love me, sitting here in Scotland, not working or paying tax as a SAHM and getting an elective section too

expatinscotland · 18/08/2008 20:27

you don't get Nambarrie in England?

it's readily available here in the Western Highlands.

LongLiveCuckoo · 18/08/2008 20:28

That was a JOKE btw! Seriously, Scotland and NI are a part of the UK, so what are you going to do? Why don't Kennsington and Chelsea become independent? Afterall, places like Grimsby and Derby are a drain on their taxes. It could be like the vatican.

I'm glad that there is relative harmony between the different countries. Look what's happening in Russia fgs! We are lucky.

LongLiveCuckoo · 18/08/2008 20:30

Hi Stleger, hello back, you said hello to me on rollercoaster bookclub board earlier today! tis me coco.

Expat - I've not seen it (or Scotland footie tops either for that matter - see my thread )
I'm currently drinking "Yorkshire tea for hard water", because the water here is vile and they are the only tea bags that don't taste funny with it

expatinscotland · 18/08/2008 20:36

My ILs drink it and they are in Embra. And there are adverts for it regularly.

Lemme look in Somerfield when I go in.

I drink Scottish Blend myself.

Nice harbour, a Gala shop, 6 pubs, 6 very posh restaurants, many boats! Smaller than Dingle. You can sit outside the Jolie Brise and share a pizza for a tenner though. (Can your lads do pizza?)
