No, had this conversation with my DM this morning, shes accompanying DS to her final wedding dress fitting this afternoon but has broken her little toe and she was wondering which pair on her sandals to wear as she does'nt want to be hobbling around the underground barefoot .

I've told her I feel boots are more appropriate given the weather, her retort 'it's august', my response, 'have you looked outside?'

I've worn boots twice this "summer"

was a shock when I put on ankle boots with a one inch heel the other day as my feet were agony after an hour (and I wore them 8 hours a day last winter)

been wearing birkies for the last month so all heels are now agony - if I wasn't so short i would buy birkie winter clogs and not bother with heels ever again

I had my boots on today. I am SOOOOOOO sick of this incessant rain! It has rained up here (Edinburgh) for practically two bloody months and then we went to Wales on holiday and it bloody rained the whole time there! I am so over this 'summer' Bring on the nice sunny autumn days!

I officially decided summer was over about 4 weeks ago, and bought some long sleeved tops.

Then it was hot for 3 weeks...but the tops have come out again

I'm wearing boots today, and was yesterday. I always heave a hearty sigh of relief when summer buggers off, as I love my boots, what with having truly repulsive feet and all. Go Autumn!

We're going to Drymen near Loch Lomand next week. Hopefully all the rain will drown the fecking midges. At least that'll be some compensation for the shit weather.
