Ok, this is coloured by my experiences with DV, so not sure if IABU, but I find the music ad with the lyric
"A kiss with a fist is better than none" offensive.

Obviously by posting in AIBU I am inviting comment so what do you think?

I think its Channel 4/E4 music. Sounds like the Ting Tings. Terribly fun sounding irreverent pop, till you listen to the lyrics, saying what fun it is to beat each other up.

Its by Florence and the Machine. I just googled the lyrics and they are awful.

Just looked at those lyrics and even having no experience of Dv at all it is shocking. I wonder why on earth they use this in an advertisement?

song Its not that bad when you hear the whole song. those isolated lyrics make it sound worse than it is.

I heard this, it's for the new channel 4 music channel. I thought they were gross too.

I'm sure if i has it would probably upset me too. So yes it is in poor taste.

But i think it is more to do with a dysfunctional relationship as objectivity has stated as apposed to DV.
