We had to confirm our attendance at our work christmas do in June. I replied to the email saying I couldn't plan a week ahead so no way could I say yes to something in December!

giraffescantdancethetango · 30/07/2008 22:46

bluuuurgh its too early

suedonim · 30/07/2008 23:38

Some of us have to plan Xmas months in advance. Because I mostly live in Nigeria I need to start organising things now eg take cards back to Nigeria with me in Sept. I've even started on present buying!

MKG · 30/07/2008 23:41

twentypence · 31/07/2008 02:04

I buy Christmas sheet music now, and book a room for my Christmas Concert, buy presents in the sale and then forget all about Christmas until Oct. which sadly for some of my students is when they need to start a Christmas piece to have it ready for the end of the Christmas term.

But apart from work, I try to leave it all until December.

naturalblonde · 31/07/2008 09:50

I've had family members asking what we're doing for Xmas this year. (This was a couple of months ago). I can't plan more than a week ahead either, plus I'm pregnant and due in September so really have no idea. I've told everyone a decision will be made after baby arrives.

stealthsquiggle · 31/07/2008 09:54

I have seen loads of pubs, etc advertising.

Drives me nuts - in part, TBH, because I sort of wish my life was that organised [sigh] - but I have a total of 12 family birthdays (most of which I have to make cakes for) to get through before I think about Christmas.

Unfortunately the last of them is on 22/12, which doesn't leave me much thinking time

nettie · 31/07/2008 09:57

Always buy my christmas cards on holiday in RNLI shop
