have stupidly snapped my switch card in half by accident.

i have another cheque account which is empty but i could transfer money over when the banks open on monday so any cheques would not bounce.

my neighbour has just told me that asda and tesco no longer accept cheque.

we have enough to scrape by till then but it would have been nice to go and get a few things that i fancy.

Do you have a credit card? You could buy stuff with that and pay it off immediately - by cheque .

no dont have a credit card anymore. got fed up keeping it for emergencies that never happend.

can they actually refuse to let you pay by cheque? i mean you are still paying so whats the problem.

dh works away during the week and has left his bank card when he stays so he is no good.
