cut strawberries in half
sprinkle with sugar
serve with ice-cream

I mean, I brough the book because I was lacking in inspiration, I didn't realise the authors were too!

what was it ? cooking for the complete dumb ass ? (not that you are Elf !)

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/07/2008 18:39

that's not the worst one.

Just read the "quick lemom mousse"

gently stir the lemon curd through the double cream until combined, and serve with blueberries.

ThePettyandIllinformedGoat · 21/07/2008 18:40

VeniVidiVickiQV · 21/07/2008 18:41

ROFL! It's not delia's new "cook" book is it?

ThePettyandIllinformedGoat · 21/07/2008 18:41

yes and he is wonderfully greedy

Hecate · 21/07/2008 18:42

So is the introduction page .. blah blah silver, with a small scoop on the end. This is called a spoon blah blah blah quite similar handle, but with three small prongs on the end, this is called a fork. Do not attempt to eat soup with the fork, it will take a very long time....

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/07/2008 18:42

Tomato Mozzerella and Red Pesto Pasta...

put tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto (store purchased ) in a large bowl and toss together. Season with pepper and salt.
Just before serving, toss the sale leaves with the mixture and serve.

Sob. DH is so going to take the mickey!!

there are 9 other books in the series... I might have a sneaky peak at them in the shop to see what they have!

Strawberries and ice cream are yummy. But I would have expected there to be a recipe for the ice cream, or it's not really cooking is it?

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/07/2008 20:50

exactly a recipe for ice-cream would have been better!
