onebatmother · 09/07/2008 18:44

I like lol. I've tried doing ha-ha-ha but it makes me sound like a cant.

I also like roffle and snigger - and snerk is quite good in response to something vulgar or bitchy.

greenelizabeth · 09/07/2008 18:48

I usen't to do it. I did it once but I felt moronic. I won't do it again. Promise.

Is "ha ha" ok? that feels less fake and jargonish to me.

onebatmother · 09/07/2008 18:53

i think ha ha is okay but one run sthe risk of sounding sarcarstic

shatteredmumsrus · 09/07/2008 18:54

I once tee hee'd. Never again.

Swedes · 09/07/2008 20:28

ha ha sounds very pantomime tranny.

I love LOL. Some people on mumsnet really do make me laugh out loud which is lovely. I always try to convey it when it happens. LOL for me is my way of saying thank you so much for your wit/intelligence etc.

Swedes · 09/07/2008 20:29

Titter is a bit Swallows and Amazons isn't it?

Swedes · 09/07/2008 20:31

I can't stand PMSL. Horrible.

Swedes · 09/07/2008 20:32

And LMAO is a bit Bingo Hall for me.

lazarou · 09/07/2008 20:39

Crazy bitches, the lot of you, LOL!

LOL doesn't piss me off, but does. That really fecks me off, with it's stupid little sarcy face

southeastastra · 09/07/2008 20:41

i have never pissed myself laughing or rolled on the floor laughing so don't use them really lol

lazarou · 09/07/2008 20:42

I often piss myself, but never by laughing

onebatmother · 09/07/2008 20:43

I think I like roffle because it sounds like a guffaw.
Not because I roll etc..

Swedes · 09/07/2008 20:54

Do you think the Mumnsnet acronyms should be a bit more restrained?

RMREB - Raised my right eye brow
DMACOTFACOM - Delayed making a cup of tea for a couple of minutes

OrmIrian · 09/07/2008 20:59

I think I prefer SLOTE - sceptical lift of the eyebrow.

Remotew · 09/07/2008 21:02

I use lol if someone has genuinely made me laugh. Hate pmsl and tee hee.

Swedes · 09/07/2008 21:02

SFLBTR Shifted from left buttock to right.

onebatmother · 09/07/2008 21:09

Ibpbiatimobubidyaayu - I'm being polite because I'm anxious that I might otherwise become unpopular but I despise you and all your kind.

Swedes · 09/07/2008 21:11

Onebat - Punchy!

onebatmother · 09/07/2008 21:12

punchy is my middle name, Swedes, as you know.
