Wow you cant have anything important in your life to get annoyed about thats all I can say, personally I think you are being a bit anal You are not the only one though as I know my brother feels the same way - he is anal and turning into my Dad more each day.

I dont like text speak but in a minor "what happened to the english language" way.

I do use LOL mainly because words on the screen can come across so cold I feel that, in context, it humanises my words if you know what I mean.

We could have a whole scale from:

mmsm - made me snigger mildly

through to...

gttl - grab the Tena lady

@ lol I got that top lol. Mama perhaps there is a disease whereby the poster feels compelled to start and finish a post with a pallindrome Mama.

I wish there was another acronym for ... like a mild snigger. Something that makes you ... acknowledge that it is funny without necessarily rolling around the floor.

I doubt if I have ever used LOL in any of your threads Mamag as they are soo very boring and have never ever ever made me larf or even smirk in the slightest...[need a lier emotion here]

Maybe I should start using YOL (Yawned out Loud)...

PS - thanks for the cake by the way, still waiting for the real thing....

Trinity - Roffle is lovely.

I wish there was a mumsnet-recognised acronym for laughing up my sleeve. Xenia's posts always make me LUMS.
