To have a go at a teenager at dance display

My dd was taking part in a dance display yesterday at a local primary school. Very few girls turned up and it was a bit of a shambles really. A group of girls started heckling them and I lost it a bit. I said 'If you feel you can do better why don't you go in there and try'. I didn't shout but feel really guilty today.
Was I in the wrong?

Nope - Well done for saying something. Did they leave or try?>

if thats all you said and weren't agressive or in their face, then you weren't unreasonable at all.

Why feel guilty? They were the ones bing rude.

I just feel really bad for saying anything but I was so cross, It was so hard for the girls to dance and cheerlead with so few of them there. I alwyas feel like this when I say something however justified.

Where were the parents of these rude girls? They should have dealt with the matter, but as they didn't, think it was the right thing for you to handle the situation.
