I noticed someone selling a fisher price baby swing on Ebay today, that has been recalled by Mattel. I emailed the seller a link to the recall. But now i think i may have been a little hasty, and maybe should have kept my nose out! There are many more sellers selling the same swing.

what do you think?

Nice of you to let them know, Does this mean they can take it back to the shop and get a refund, if so they will probably be very grateful!

I bought my brothers kids a polly pocket set reduced at Boots from £50 to £7.50 - it was recalled and he sent it back to Mattel and got the £50 back. Seller might be pleased !

Look at it this way - (s)he may not have been aware and if it was me I'd be very grateful for you telling me. Now he can
a. pull it from auction, thus eliminating risk
b. take it back and get a full refund for more than he would have sold it for
c. email all his bidders to explain who will now think - "what a wonderfully honest ebayer - I must buy more from him in future".

You may have unwittingly kickstarted his ebay career!

I did this to someone selling a Mercedes carseat that had been recalled for safety issues, one took theirs off but the other said they'd never had a problem with it and went on and sold it! I sent the recall link to the seller, but it wuldn't let me send it to the purchaser.
