Sick to death of neighbors cat pooing all over my garden - what can I do

My neighbours have a cat which has decided to use our garden as its litter tray. It’s pooing all over our garden (front and back!!) multiple times a week and I’m sick of picking up poo for an animal that doesn’t belong to me.

I don’t have pets because I don’t want to spend my time picking up its shit, so having to do it for someone else is driving me nuts. I’ve also got a young child who trod in it this week which I’m absolutely livid about !!!

We’ve tried putting coffee beans out and have bought a high frequency cat deterrent - neither of which have worked.

Before I waste more of my hard earned cash on stopping someone else's animal can anyone recommend tried and tested deterrents please ??

BTW I’m aware legally that cats have a right to roam but I don’t want to be dealing with this anymore.

Our next door cat pooped on all over tiny back garden and never buried it. Yes it was him as I saw him pooing. The only solution was to move. If a cat doesn't get taught to bury the poo they don't. It's not that uncommon

True - I've sat and watched our neighbour's cats doing it. They never bury it.

The best way to stop a cat from 💩 in your garden is to get your own cat.

Just don't get those dreadful high-pitched noise deterrents. They give me and anyone with good hearing a headache, and your child will definitely be driven crazy by it.

I vote loaded water pistols at every window and doorway you can see the garden from, and dumping the cat poo on your neighbour's doorstep regularly.

My sympathies OP. IME sonic deterrents don't work. I may try garlic or citronella next.

Just a note airsoft gun is not airgun and doesn't use metal pellets (unless one is absolutely craycray)

They don't mind garlic smell. Based on them shitting in my garlic planter.
