DD8 goes to a theatre club after school (at the school). A few weeks ago parents were asked if we can provide consent for children to perform after school at a fairly prestigious venue in the comimg weeks but we were given two days to give consent as they needed a yes or no ASAP to secure the place. Wasnt sure if we could make it after work so didnt provide consent and DD was really sad as she really wanted to go, especially as her friends would be attending.
Few days ago I got permission from work to finish earlier for the day of the perfomance so thought I can ask the school office if its still not too late if my DD can go. After they called the venue they confirmed yes she can attend.
Great! I thought I can suprise my DD and let her know that we can definately come to the performance and she can go!
Only for DD to say she doesnt want to go now.
Arghhh!! Now I have to ring the school and tell them she no longer wants to go. They will think I'm an idiot time waster.
