Yes, unmanly men give me the ick, any that spend too much time grooming, urgh!

I don't find male dancers or performers unmanly though, which I know some people do, there is something even more manly about many of them to me.

Vaping is a bit of an ick for me, very unsexy looking on a man, smoking is sexy, smell of stale smoke is grim, but I kind of find it quite manly. Being with a smoker in a long term relationship I am not keen on. Makes no sense I know.

People who come in to a thread about icks to cleverly say their ick is ‘people who use the word ick’ thinking they are very subversive and the first person to say it, rather than it being every 5th post.

That one is a bit weird. Why would someone be disgusted by hairy legs or armpits?

-blowing nose to handkerchief,
-changing T-shirt before bed, sleeping in it and then wear it the next day
-no socks in trainers, loafers, suit shoes etc
-1 long nail on pinkie finger
-those velvety hangers

I don’t object to the polo shirt, but if they’ve got the collar up, it gets on my last nerve.

I have asked strangers on the train, and pubs to put their collars down, and they’ve always indulged me, bless ‘em!

an ick, can be anything that makes someone shudder or think ‘no’ - it doesn’t even need to be aimed at anyone…. Like someone mentioned the word ‘polyp’

I just started this thread as it’s part of me and my husbands humour, he often goes ‘Ick’ when I do something, he says I give him the ick when I walk around with my toe separators in waiting for my nail varnish to dry, and I get the ick at the thought of him in the sitting position on a see through plane and that’s ok 😂😂😂😂
