Advice please on neighbours

I have been here before around 10 months a go asking for advice. The situation is still ongoing and really taking a toll on my mental health to the point it is on the floor 😢

Ever since they moved in a year a go our home life has been a living hell, dogs barking , shouting. Swearing, banging on walls. The daughter and the mum telling each other to f off. Doesn't help the walls here are ridiculously thin and we can hear everything. Their dogs are the worst of it though they react to everything and anything, barking their heads off and this can go on upto 10 mins at a time and we hear them every hour almost. I am longing for some peace and quiet and to feel at home again but I am constantly on edge to when this will start again and quite frankly I am at my limit now. I feel like if something doesn't change my mental health is going to take a dip for the worse 😪
I understand neighbours make noise with daily living but I feel this isn't daily living, it is a constant 💩 show that is really affecting our household. Am I being unreasonable or will the council take this seriously? Thanks

Are you able to speak to them? If you feel comfortable much better to start there. The council might be able to help but you'd have to keep a diary of noise over a period of time. Do you own your house? If so, you're meant to declare complaints when you move so best to avoid.

I have tried speaking with them but I always get made to feel in the wrong about it and I got told that " dogs bark " which is true but not constant.

If you’ve spoken to them and they’re not willing to take your concerns on board you have three options; 1) put up with it; 2) make a complaint to the council and/or the housing association/landlord if not privately owned; 3) insulate your shared walls with noise reducing mineral wool and a second layer of plasterboard.
