Working with high flyers and losing perspective of real life

I work for a company that employes lots of people that from a salary and education perspective would be considered “elite”. Think reaching 6 figures in their late twenties and triple that a few years later plus equity. A lot of these guys literally make millions.
I am not one of them as I work in a business support unit, however, being surrounded by so many successful people, I feel like I am losing perspective of what a good salary actually looks like.
I have worked hard to build a career and I currently earn £75K plus 15% bonus. It isn’t high but definitely a decent wage I’d say. I am 40yo.
When I see what these people are on though(I work in comp and benefits that’s why I know) it truly depresses me. MDs in their late 30s making millions. How to cope? Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Maybe realise that money isnt everything if you have enough for food housing etc happiness does not come from owning a ferrari.

What is it you want advice on coping with? Is it jealousy? Managing on your salary?

Here’s the perspective. The average UK salary is around £40k Pa, you’re earning almost double that. Depending on where you live £75k is an excellent wage. It’s much more than I’ve ever earned in my career, which is why I quit when my husband became one of the people you have described.

Why two threads?

As you say , you're on a good salary. No point moving and being with lower earners but being on less.

I understand where you’re coming from. Having worked in financial services businesses in a support function it’s easy to lose perspective. When the high earners are wearing more expensive clothes, have a fancier lifestyle - even those who are not brash, it is easy to forget that you’re earning well and successful in your own career. Focus on your own happiness, your own hobbies and family life within your means. Earning lots doesn’t make them happy - it’s high pressure and takes a toll on mental health.

You need to be able to compartmentalise. In your chosen career you will know what everyone earns and there will always be people in the company earnings more than you.

or you can retrain and earn millions too.
