Been away for a few days (had a 2 week half term). Neighbour has been feeding the cat - just about to get in the car last week and told dd15 to check all the upstairs doors were shut. Came downstairs- yeah yeah, all done mum.

Come back; my bed is covered in cat shit and piss, duvet, mattress and sheets including electric blanket all ruined .

Should lhave trusted a 15 year old with such a responsibility?! Or done it my fucking self.

Cat did have a litter tray by the way and is not capable of opening a door so l have to assume she didn't do it - so pissed off and room stin

Swap your bed / room with the incompetent 15 year old?

TittyGajillions · 28/10/2026 17:19

Half of that is nonsense. What are you trying to say?

Weeelokthen · 28/10/2026 17:20

Maybe your neighbour having a sneaky peak in your bloomers drawer and forgot to cover their tracks😊

That she asked the kid to close the doors upstairs. She didn't. Cat shit everywhere.

TittyGajillions · 28/10/2026 17:22

Cats don't usually shit on beds unless there's something wrong with them.

FionnulaTheCooler · 28/10/2026 17:22

Is it possible your neighbour went upstairs and opened the door? I wouldn't jump straight to blaming your DD. Did the neighbour empty the litter tray often enough? I'd probably look at boarding catteries for the future, that's what I do with mine as she can also defecate in places she shouldn't when stressed and an unknown person coming into the house would definitely stress her out.

durdledoris · 28/10/2026 17:22

Sorry have edited post! Must put glasses on in future!

This. ^

Is your cat elderly @durdledoris This is weird behaviour from a cat who is healthy - and younger - to be honest....

Skybluecoat · 28/10/2026 17:25

Why would your cat shit and piss all over your bed?

EppingIsFun · 28/10/2026 17:25

Wtf is wrong with your cat? I'd get it rehomed. Cats don't normally piss and shit everywhere. The most we'd come back to is cat fur on the pillows.

durdledoris · 28/10/2026 17:27

He has never done it before to be fair - very much an outdoorsy cat so maybe protesting if they let him in too early. Had a clean litter tray but didn't use that all week

Are you sure the cat wasn’t accidentally closed into the bedroom?

What don’t you understand?

OP, I’d have checked myself tbh but it’s too late now.

behindtheanimalhouse · 28/10/2026 17:28

Is the cat usually allowed out? Why has it pooed on the bed when it had a litter tray?

The OP has edited various errors since that person posted.

behindtheanimalhouse · 28/10/2026 17:29

Oh okay just seen recent post - I think you need a cat flap so he can come and go. If he's usually allowed out and he hasn't been he will be confused.

PuppyMonkey · 28/10/2026 17:29

@Tillow4ever ah, I see! My bad.

Yes this isn’t normal behaviour for a cat I’d be taking the cat to the vets for a check up.

DoubleBusy2026 · 28/10/2026 17:31

You left your cats for 2 entire weeks??????? Jesus f Christ. Even if someone was popping in every day, that’s still cruel as fuck. I’m not at all surprised they did that

No we left him out when we went and he was out when we returned

No just saying we had a 2 week half term which was irrelevant really- been for a few days - usually a family member (huge cat lover) comes to stay - cat is def not treated cruelly !!

OP posts:
Anywherebuthere · 28/10/2026 17:36

I'd be annoyed at myself, the 15 year old and the cat. And they would be helping with the clean up. The 15 year old, not the cat.

Skybluecoat · 28/10/2026 17:41

So the person feeding your cat probably had a little nosey around and accidentally locked the cat in the bedroom for a couple of days. Then realised the food wasn’t being eaten, and went and let it back out again.

That is the most likely explanation.

HeyUpDuckie · 28/10/2026 17:46

You ahould of made sure the doors were shut.
