Nipple hair – do I pluck or leave it?

I’ve noticed a few dark hairs round my nipple (sorry) and I don’t know what the done thing is. I’ve plucked one before and it was fine but now I’m paranoid I’ll get ingrowns there of all places 🙈 Do people just pluck? Trim? Wax? Or do I ignore it and hope nobody’s looking that closely? Thanks xx

I had mine lasered about 15 years ago (only took one session). If an odd one pops out, I pluck the fucker.

I trim. I used to pluck but then I got ingrowns that hurt to get out, and they kept happening. I’ve had multiple dark thick hairs for years and some finer dark hairs. DH doesn’t care as long as he gets to see and touch my boobs! 😁

Leave them, nobody honestly cares.

Same here , DH doesn’t bother unless he’s getting access to them 😂

Is this a new thing OP? If so, I'd speak to our GP. It could be a pituitary issue or hormonal- which might have a cause which can be corrected.

Only noticed it in the last 2 months and it’s just on my left nipple , no other symptoms apart from the odd hair on the nipple, so I wasn’t worried. But thanks, I’ll keep an eye on it and see the GP if anything else crops up x

I’ve got PMOS and have epilated them for years. I’ve never had an ingrown one yet.

ArmyGirl845 · 21/10/2026 23:32

It’s fine to pluck

purplecorkheart · 21/10/2026 23:34

I have been getting a hair in the same place for years. I pluck. I would not trust myself enough to trim without cutting myself.

Blunt nail scissors like for a baby’s fingernails, and don’t trim right down to skin level. Leave a few millimetres of hair. I’ve rarely cut myself in the many years I’ve done it.
