My son started secondary school in sept and has made lots of new friends, one is a boy who has now been to ours a couple of times and my DS has been to his.
this week my son has been told by another child and seen pictures of what’s app messages saying my son is rude and nobody should roll to him.
wibu to go direct to his mum or should I get school to deal with this?

School. Always the school.

So a child wrote it? Tbh I’d do nothing. It’s not nice to hear that about yourself but people are allowed opinions and have their own free will and I don’t think it’s that bad. At secondary school you have to take a bit of a step back and let them get on with it.

the fact another child showed him shows that maybe that child likes him and has his back? Best to teach your child how to deal with situations like this himself.

I don't see what is there to deal with.
First question is was your son rude? Second question, are you even certain that this happened? Have you seen the message yourself?
Either way, it has nothing to do with school.

Messages from who to who?

First thoughts are, neither. It's not a big deal.

Maybe your son was a bit rude? Have you spoken to him about it?

I wouldn’t be going to the school or the mom about this at all. Kindly, this is such a non issue.
