M&S Online Returns - refunds very slow!!

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY RETURNED AN ITEM TO M&S! Have you followed through?! If not, you may well be owed money!

Anyone else finding M&S online returns service unacceptable at the moment?

They seem to want us to return in store … the critic in me thinks that’s hoping that we end up buying something whilst we are there!

Returned an item three weeks ago (via the post office, not in store) had two emails from M&S acknowledging safe receipt and apologising for the ‘delay’ in refunding me! Finally I caved in today and rang them to follow up, which they ‘manually processed’ today! Exactly the same happened two months ago with another return!

As an aside, the item I returned showed as not in stock! Are they selling the returns and not refunding us? Or is there a pile of returns somewhere waiting to be dealt with!

I nearly always use the in-store returns (live very near a m and s foodhall). Get refunded very quickly as you say. I have used the post office a couple of times, it's taken around 10 days for me to be refunded.

I've had the same issue with the last few returns. I used one of the food halls to return and it still took over 2 weeks to be refunded (and resulted in me calling them too), so probably more likely an inefficient returns process!

Mine has been fine. I used the post office to return.

I can't say too much but they haven't actually recovered from that website hack last year and just between you and me they cannot cope with getting sandwiches on the shelf daily
