To ask how you clean your glasses?

There seems to be several different ways to clean your glasses. I noticed the opticians sell spray that you spray on before cleaning with a cloth.
Is this necessary , it just adds to the expense ?
I know people that clean them using a bit of washing up liquid, then letting them dry and then cleaning them with a dry cloth???

Can you share the way you clean your glasses please?

I use the ultrasonic cleaner that I got for jewellery about once a week. Then dry and polish with a lens cleaning cloth. It's brilliant at getting the gunge (what on earth is that?!) from around the nose pieces. Otherwise I use those wipes, followed by a lens cleaning cloth. I'm very fussy about my specs as they cost ££££s, as I have complicated sight issues and can't manage without them. Also I hate seeing greasy marks on other people's specs. (Mr Knitterlybliss I'm looking at you!) 🤓

I refused blue-light coating the last time I bought glasses for two reasons.
First of all, computers have moved on and have inbuilt filters now.
Secondly a pair I had with it crazed over from opening a hot 🤣 steamy oven too often!
I use liquid hand soap and warm water to clean them.

I wash them in the shower every morning. Dry with a damp rowel and then finish off with somwthing cotton lying around my room! They usually last the day!

I had them on my previous glasses and got them taken out because great blue rectangles showed up on my lenses in photos and thought they might for zoom meetings

I have a spray for cleaning glasses. You can also get job lots of individual sealed wipes for cleaning classes online. Using your clothing sometimes leaves tiny micro scratches you can’t see unless you hold them under direct sunlight and look closely.

Im a jeweller, I stick them in the ultrasonic cleaner but not as often as I should
In one ultra sonic we use a solution called optical solution, so im fairly sure its fine.
