And I feel like a wimp. Why am i so weak. Why cant i cope with what others cope with. I am busy but i know others are super busy too.
I have 3 kids and my husband does work long days. Often 8am-8pm ish sometimes bit esrluer sometimes later.
I work 27 hours a week in a primary school as an SEN classroom assistant.
I work 10 hours a week for my second job. Which i Love but can be alot.
We have 0 family support and live in. Rural area. Kids cant go out and play really as big main road and not much else.
I have early mornings every morning.
Kids hobbies are another thing organising their time and sxheduals and making sure they hace what they need abs are in the right place at right time is all on me. Three dofferent schools with dofferent scheduals. Again all on me. Planning etc for wverything all on me.
I just feel like if i ever have free time its used to do online food shop. Or plan things. Batch cook. Clean etc.
I kyst feel so so tired. I drea. About a day of doing nothing. My brain feels worn out. I cant think straight. I get sick all the time and i look a mess!
What is wrong with me and how can i get my fire back

You answered your own question, it's because you have no support. Also your husbands long hours mean you don't have much support from him either.

I have the same problem, we literally feel like we're drowning on a daily basis. Husband works days and evenings most days meaning most other things fall to me and it's just exhausting. He cant help any more than he does as he has no free time either.

Can you outsource anything? Pay for some help? Or work less?

Chickencuddle · Today 22:36

No to both. Im thinking of dropping 2 hours a week which will help slightly but cant adford to drop more and cant afford help.

Oh bless you, that’s a lot of different moving parts you are dealing with -no surprise that you are exhausted!!m
Can DH take a couple of week days off work and give you a break?
What help can you pay for or ask friends to pitch in with?
Have you checked any benefits /support you might be entitled to if you worked less hours and stopped second job?

It’s tough being a mum to 3 kids, it’s a full time job. On top of that, you’re working another full time job and you have no family help. And your husband works long hours. Of course you feel burnt out!
Can your husband give you a free day at the weekend? Or at least half a day? You deserve a break from what is an exhausting schedule.

TheJoyousHiker · Today 22:42

What does your DH do at the weekend, does he do his bit or leave it all to you ?

ThatMintMember · Today 22:42

If you can't pay for more or reduce your hours can you reduce the number of commitments you have and simplify your life? Reduce the number of hobbies the kids go to? Assign more tasks to your husband?

At the weekrnd we are often passing ships as i wok saturday until afternoon then he takes son to hobby i tske daughter to hers. Sunday i take son to hobby he takes daughter then we spend sunday afternoon together as its only time we get together as a famiky. We do a slow walk and go home for sunday roast and chill. And its my favourite thing. But i often end up using time to plan tuings foe week agead/get ready. And im so exhausted the afternoon feels like it barelt makes a dent in my exhaustion. By tuesday im bakc to feeling awful

I’m sorry that all sounds really hard and I’m not surprised you are exhausted. How old are your kids? Just thinking of possible practical things to do that may or may not be viable;

  • depending on the kids ages, could they start sorting out their hobby stuff/school? Do a checklist and they need to mark off when they have put the item in the bag
  • The different schedules, could you do a family google document so everyone knows what’s what
  • Dinners and stuff, keep it simple. Again depending on age of kids can stretch meals out eg. Roast chicken on Sunday, fajitas/soup/noodles on Monday, spag bol on Tuesday, add kidney beans to leftovers and rice for Wednesday, Thursdays jacket potatoes with choose your own toppings (tuna/beans/cheese) and Friday pizza. Again depending on the age of the kids, can they start helping/doing some cooking?
  • You and your DH need to see if you can give each other one lie in a week and one morning/afternoon/evening to yourself
  • Every day you must try give one hour to yourself.
  • cleaning, just needs to be ok not perfect! Again the kids should be doing age appropriate things
  • your DH works long hours but you are working long hours too so make sure you are both getting rest time

Just some thoughts to consider and sending a virtual hug.
