Mean Girls isn't for kids

Went to see Mean Girls the musical recently, it was good fun but I was shocked by the amount of children there, many of whom looked as young as 7-8 years old, some potentially younger.
The musical includes references to sex, virginity, fingering, wide set vaginas and more. Plus plenty of swearing. Then there's all the talk of dieting and body image that, as adults, we can understand the subtleties of and appreciate the satire, but a child is much less likely to.
I've a 9 year old and there's absolutely no chance I'd take her. Why rush childhood?
Do parents not research these things or do they just not care?
Also, why isn't there an age rating for musicals as for films?
I'm 100% anticipating people responding to this with something about pearl clutching, minding my own business etc. I just think it's a shame we seem to want kids to grow up so fast these days. 🤷‍♀️

Um, responding to your ridiculous opinions doesn't mean I actually care about them. Also, I'm hardly the only person you're arguing with on here. You've spent this entire thread picking fights with people and at some point, you'd think you'd realize that says a hell of a lot more about you than it does about the rest of us.

I don't need an excuse for having free time. Your arguments make zero sense and you clearly have taken personal offense to the extent that you've then gone back and dug up old posts of mine to try and make a point.

Is this thread a piss take or satire? OP makes a sensible point about Mean Girls the musical being much less suitable for kids than Mean Girls the film.

The first post is a bit off. Some well meaning and normal posters contribute. But on the whole, the thread descends in multiple posters being as snidely and smartarse bitchy as possible. On a thread about Mean Girls.

That was someone else entirely, so perhaps try keeping track of who you’re arguing with before making ridiculous accusations. You’re accusing me of taking things personally while apparently confusing me with other people you’ve been fighting with on this thread and now you’re telling me my arguments make no sense? I saw it with my teenage daughter this weekend. I didn’t take my youngest daughter as I thought it would be too old for her, and it was, for all the reasons you mentioned, so I’m glad I made that choice. I did think it had an age rating of 10 plus. I’m sure I read that when buying our tickets,
