Colleague making inappropriate comments

Was at a work event and colleague started making jokes. We were on the same table at an awards do so couldn’t leave.

A few people were called up to the stage and we were discussing what it was for (male female group). He suddenly blurted out oh it’ll be to decide who has the best tits! I called him out at the time but how rude.

He then called someone in the group jokingly a fucking idiot for getting a question wrong in a game we were playing.

Im losing patience with him and tempted to report.

Like you.

I'd have said sharply 'How dare you make a comment like that? It's utterly unprofessional and I will be reporting it'. It's misogynistic and disgraceful. If you didn't report at the time I'd probably leave it now and avoid him, but any other out of line comment and I'd simply say, 'I'm going to report that, John. You need to be spoken to by management on what is and is not acceptable in the workplace'.

Horrible oik needed the reminder to be civilised so well done.
Behaviour like that went out with the Ark.

Old neighbour of ours had exactly the same problem in an office based job, quite some time back now, at a guess 1994.

She was a very calm person and reminded him (loud mouth big head) that his comments were vaulger but he continued. The next time he did it she karate chopped him right in his laynx and his voice went high pitched for 2 weeks. He never did it again.

I am not advocating violence op, this was an era when you could get away with it and I don't want to get you into any trouble.
Di you have any HR on site?
