I have prayed to St Anthony so it’s only a matter of time, but it would help my blood pressure a great deal if anyone has any pointers?

Fallen down the back of the drawer or inside a bag you used to travel with last time. Check all pickets of it

I lost my passport for a year!
Looked everywhere.
Eventually I found it in the middle of a bunch of old passports that I hang onto for some reason!

I think this must explain how DH and I overlooked a cow in a wood. We emerged from the wood and met a farmer and his son who asked "Did you see a cow in there?" We said that we hadn't and, I am embarrassed to admit, I actually said "I think we'd have noticed if there had been a cow!"

The son went in to the wood and seconds later we heard him shout "I've found her " 🥴

Mine was under my passenger car seat in a little hole in the carpet just out of sight… took me weeks and had almost given up and ordered a new one when I spotted it. I’d checked my car 10 x already as do use it sometimes for ID but it was well hidden.

According to Professor Solomon it will not be lost it will temporarily have slipped out of view and will likely be within a few inches of where it should be. Probably tucked inside something, or slipped underneath something.
My dd’s passport was missing - it was found in the car. She had taken it out to use as ID to collect a parcel.

Did you use it when booking the holiday?
I lost a brolly for months and found it in the zipped pocket of a travel bag. It wasn’t obvious as it had slipped right down the bottom. I only found it when taking something out after I had been away on another occasion!
Where do you normally put it when you are travelling home from being abroad? Check that bag thoroughly.

If you store it in a drawer then take it out and go through everything in case it’s got caught up with some paperwork or an envelope.
Take all the drawers out and check it hasn’t gone into the body of the cupboard or whatever.

Did you use it to complete advanced passenger details? I did that the other day and it ended up accidentally under some papers on my desk as I’d forgotten to put it away straight away. Luckily spotted it before I filed the pile of papers!

Any chance you brought it somewhere in an old handbag then put the handbag away?

This happened to me slipped behind the drawer.

Under a keyboard (if you were entering details for an online form)
In between the pages of a book (I can lose almost any document that way).

Mine went missing a few years ago. I had forgotten that I'd taken it to the bank to use as ID for something. When I needed it to go travelling, several months later, I couldn't find it anywhere. It eventually turned up (after I had replaced it) in an envelope with other paperwork from the day I'd been to the bank.

MIL’s passport slipped out of the back of the drawer it was in so ended up in the bottom of the back of the cabinet.

I found mine in a carrier bag in the cupboard under the stairs, a year after I lost it and had to replace it. (Along with my birth certificate and marriage certificate!)

With your council tax bill and bank statements if you used it for an ID check?

Mine was once found inside the book I’d taken on holiday on the bookshelf.

Must have got tucked in there in my hand luggage and then I just popped the book on the bookshelf when we got home not realising.
