AIBU to move

DH works away at various places but has a chance of a new job which would involve working in the same place. It would be a chance for us to move house so that he could come home every night instead of just at weekends. Our children are at university and are happy for us to move. The problem I have is my parents are elderly and one of them cares for the other and I live nearby. AIBU to move to the other end of the country to put my marriage first for a change?

No, you can help your parents to put other care support in place or maybe they would consider moving to the same place as you

Yanbu. Your parents would (or should, if they are good people) want you to live your own life not sacrifice your wellbeing to look after them. You can help orchestrate care from the other side of the country, it's all manageable online.

Yes move. My parents moved to another country from theirs and I moved to another country from my own. They didn’t expect me to stay to look after them.
